Our trade relationships with hundreds of mills worldwide, our own internal mill system, and other end users of recyclable materials provides consistent movement for your products in all market conditions. Freight Management (Sellers): Smurfit-Stone will manage transportation needs for movement of material from point of purchase to end user. Service benefits include:

• Eliminates customer’s costs to arrange and track shipping
• Ensures product arrives in a timely manner in good condition
• Keeps material continuously moving from supplier's site to the mill

Marketing Agreements: Marketing Agreements are contractual agreements between Smurfit-Stone and its suppliers to sell their recovered material to mills and other end users. Benefits include:

• Continuous movement of material regardless of market conditions
• Worldwide marketing of recyclable material
• Guidance in upgrading material helps increase profits

Processing Agreements: Processing Agreements are contractual arrangements Smurfit-Stone has with suppliers (i.e. waste haulers) to act as their processor of recovered materials. Benefits include:

• Enables suppliers to focus and grow their core business of collection and disposal
• Eliminates supplier’s need to purchase expensive equipment and facilities
• Creates partnership for pursuing and sourcing new business

Recycling Equipment Leasing: Smurfit-Stone purchases and finances recycling equipment for our suppliers (balers, sort systems, collection containers, etc). Smurfit-Stone then markets and sells all of the recyclable materials that are produced.
