Subject to change, assets of the Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation Consumer Packaging Division (excluding Carol Stream R&D, PAT and Dalton) are being sold June 30, 2006.    Effective July 1, 2006 insurance for the divested locations will be the responsibility of the new owner.  Please address any questions to your consumer contact.

As you have probably heard, our two operating companies, Jefferson Smurfit Corporation (U.S.) (JSC) and Stone Container Corporation (SCC) will legally become one company on November 1, 2004, when JSC will merge into SCC. Effective November 1, 2004, the operating company’s legal name will be Smurfit-Stone Container Enterprises, Inc. (SSCEI).

This Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation Internet Site tool was created in order to make one more aspect of doing business with Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation easier. Current and convenient electronic documentation for valued customers, lessors and other business partners who require evidence of insurance in the course of our doing business together is available through the links below. At this time the electronic certificates of insurance are only for casualty insurance: general liability insurance, automobile liability insurance, and workers’ compensation and employer’s liability insurance.
