Smurfit-Stone has been in the nursery business since the 1960’s. Built in 1983, Rock Creek Nursery has established itself as a producer of high quality seedlings. Starting with seed from elite loblolly and slash pine families, the nursery cultures its crop to produce a balanced seedling that is easy to plant with high survivability. Care is taken from the start, from the shaping of the nursery bed, to sowing of the seed, to watering, and fertilizing the seedlings, and finally to lifting and packing.
